Copywriting. Editing. Proofreading.
Catch the Sun Communications exists because there aren’t enough hours in the day. What started as our founder’s need for flexible working arrangements has grown into a thriving freelance hub which helps time-poor advertising and marketing clients find extra hours in their working day.
In 2009, Maddie Sinclair was a new mother living in the UK caring for a young child. Faced with the prospect of returning to her busy advertising job, she knew she didn’t have enough hours in the day to do everything. Her solution was to work from home as a freelancer, providing copywriting, editing and proofreading services to the advertising agencies and marketing departments she had previously worked with.
Maddie’s attention to detail and high professional standards meant she built an impressive portfolio of clients quickly. While her new freelance ‘working from home’ model meant she’d unearthed more hours in the day for herself now that she wasn’t commuting to and from work, she’d not yet worked out how to provide her clients with the same time-saving benefits.
Around the world, around the clock.
In 2016, Maddie moved to Australia. She realised that the time zone difference between her old country of residence and her new one meant she could finally create extra hours in the day for her European-based clients. She achieved this by using Australia-based freelancers to complete urgent projects for clients in Europe while they slept, during the Australian working day. She quickly realised this model worked in reverse, too, with Australian clients serviced by UK-based freelancers ‘overnight’, during the UK working day.
So, Catch the Sun Communications was born, with the mission to generate more hours in the day for time-pressured advertising and marketing clients around the world.
